Hell no. What you need is, imho, a system that doesn’t function as a 2-party system. Something that isn’t winner takes all. When a party gets 10% of all the votes they should get 10% of all the seats. Let them form coalitions.

Also: no donations larger than some low amount ($100?), with no loopholes. Direct some (some) taxpayer money to parties related to their last electoral success. That billion dollar campaign circus is sickening to me and creates political loyalty to large donors where there shouldn’t be any.
